Love Empire Inclusion and Accessibility Policy
Love Empire believes every couple and every person involved in their wedding should be treated with dignity, kindness and respect.
This policy applies to Love Empire’s work with couples, guests, contractors, suppliers and people taking part in its education and mentoring services.
Our commitment
Love Empire welcomes people of every race, culture, religion, age, ability, body, gender identity, sexual orientation, family structure and socioeconomic background.
Discrimination, harassment, bullying, exclusion or disrespectful behaviour isn’t accepted within our services or working relationships.
Accessible customer service
Love Empire will:
Offer meetings in person, by phone or through video call where available.
Provide flexible meeting times where reasonably possible.
Use plain-English communication and electronic documents.
Ask couples whether they or their guests have access, communication or sensory requirements.
Consider reasonable adjustments based on each person’s needs and the requirements of the venue.
Work with couples and venues to plan wheelchair and pram access and suitable seating.
Provide printed ceremony scripts for people who are hearing impaired when requested.
Arrange translated ceremony copies when a couple provides or approves an appropriate translation.
Support sensory needs through agreed measures, which may include quieter applause, headphones, comfort items, fidget items or children’s activities.
Use respectful, gender-neutral language unless a person tells us how they wish to be addressed.
Couples are encouraged to raise their needs early, but requests can be made at any stage. Love Empire will discuss what is practical, safe and legally possible rather than making assumptions.
Cultural and personal inclusion
Ceremonies are written around the couple, their relationship and the people important to them. Cultural, religious and family rituals may be included when requested, provided they meet Australian marriage law and can be delivered respectfully.
Love Empire respects each person’s name, title, pronouns, relationships and chosen family.
Economic accessibility
Love Empire provides services at different price points, including legal-only, friend-led, elopement, personalised ceremony and MC options. Payment may be divided into two, three or four instalments over the booking period.
Employment and contractors
Work and contracting opportunities will be considered according to capability, professionalism, conduct and suitability for the role.
Reasonable requests for flexible hours, remote work, communication changes or adjustments relating to disability, neurodivergence, health, parenting or caring responsibilities will be considered fairly.
Everyone representing Love Empire is expected to communicate respectfully, protect client privacy and follow this policy.
Feedback and concerns
Anyone who experiences an access barrier or feels they haven’t been treated respectfully can contact Nikki through Love Empire’s website contact form or email on the form page.
Concerns will be listened to without judgement, handled privately and addressed as promptly as possible. Feedback may be used to improve Love Empire’s systems, resources and services.
This policy will be reviewed annually, or earlier if the business, services or relevant legal requirements change.
