Love Empire Community Engagement and Local Procurement Policy

Effective date: August 2026
Review date: August 2027

Love Empire is committed to creating economic and social benefits within the South West community.

This policy applies to Love Empire, Effortlessly Wed, Love Empire Method and contractors working directly on behalf of these businesses.

Local purchasing and referrals

Where quality, availability, suitability and pricing meet the couple’s needs, Love Empire will:

  • Prioritise South West suppliers and contractors.

  • Recommend local venues, accommodation, hospitality and wedding businesses.

  • Credit and tag businesses featured in website and social media content.

  • Build packages and collaborations that create paid work for local suppliers.

  • Refer enquiries to other local celebrants when Love Empire is unavailable.

  • Pay contractors and suppliers fairly and within agreed terms.

Couples retain the freedom to choose the businesses that suit their wedding, values and budget.

Industry development

Love Empire will continue supporting emerging celebrants and wedding professionals through mentoring, practical resources, referrals, introductions and shadowing opportunities where appropriate.

Any unpaid learning opportunity will be voluntary, clearly explained and designed to provide genuine educational value. It won’t replace work that should reasonably be paid.

Community support

Where business capacity allows, Love Empire may contribute through:

  • Donated services, vouchers or prizes.

  • Fundraising and community events.

  • Reduced-fee or donated ceremonies in exceptional circumstances.

  • Volunteering that uses the business owner’s skills to meet an identified community need.

Support will be considered according to the need, likely benefit, business capacity and alignment with Love Empire’s values.

Review

Community activity, local referrals and paid supplier involvement will be reviewed each year. Love Empire will look for practical ways to deepen its local contribution without promising support the business can’t sustainably deliver.
